Eucalyptus came to California from Australia during the Gold Rush, where it was planted throughout the foothills. Frequently exceeding one hundred feet in height, groves of this dark blue-green tree are a common sight in Coastal California. Grown within 200 miles of San Francisco, and produced from salvaged logs, our California Eucalyptus veneer offers a beautiful palette for your project. Eucalyptus grain is tight and comes in a variety of figures and colors ranging from suntanned gold to rich, caramelized tan. See the photo list to the right for some examples. Note the variety of looks available from this single species.

At Exotic Hardwoods & Veneers we are committed to stocking as many local and salvaged woods as possible, and keep a large inventory of Eucalyptus on hand, ready for your next project. Besides being beautiful, this veneer can contribute to the LEED Regional Material credit (MR-5).
